The fact that a small town in Rhineland-Palatinate attracts the country's political elite is remarkable in itself. The fact that the traditional asparagus dinner organized by the municipal association also regularly attracts national political FDP celebrities such as Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Guido Westerwelle, Christian Lindner and Rainer Brüderle to Römerberg-Dudenhofen shows the importance of the FDP's charming get-together.

Today, not only the Minister of Economic Affairs, Daniela Schmitt, and the state's newly appointed Minister of Justice, Philipp Fernis, did the honors; as a special highlight, Bettina Strack-Zimmermann had traveled to the event "so as not to miss out on the asparagus", as she humorously remarked. In her welcoming address, the committed EU politician highlighted the foreign policy tensions facing Germany and Europe and what our continent needs to defend its prosperity and freedom: Bright minds, a sense of responsibility and no fear of fear. On the fringes of the atmospheric get-together, there was also an opportunity for an exchange with the business community. Among others with Thomas and Christine Kübler from the hidden champion KÜBLER from Ludwigshafen. The specialist for climate-friendly hall heating systems discussed the European Parliament and the latest developments in the Clean Industrial Deal.
