WAIT NOW – Heating maintenance is a must
Regular heating maintenance is mandatory, a must!
Various standards, technical regulations, and the Building Energy Act (GEG) recommend that owners of infrared-based hall heating systems have their systems serviced and maintained regularly. The most important specifications include the following technical regulations and standards:
DVGW-TRGI 2018 (G 600) – Regulates the safe installation of gas in buildings
DVGW regulations G 638-I (bright radiators) and G638-II (dark radiators)
DIN EN 416-2 – Product standard for dark radiators – Requirements for construction, safety, and efficiency
DIN EN 17175 – Product standard for dark radiant systems – Requirements for construction, safety, and efficiency [„applies to large (recirculating) radiant bands or multi-burner systems such as Nor-Ray-Vac“]
DIN EN 12831 – Mandatory standard for heating system design (heating load calculation / „heat demand“)
? VDI 2081 (Parts 1–5) – Guideline for the ventilation of rooms with infrared heating systems
TRF – Technical Rules for Liquid Gas (for propane)
In addition, there are regulations on fire protection, environmental and energy aspects, occupational health and safety, and other regulations. The legal obligation under the GEG alone is a good reason to have your hall heating system serviced annually. But that is only the first of five important reasons why maintenance should be a fixed part of your fiscal year.
