EPBD calculator for hall buildings
Evaluate your hall in seconds using the EPBD methodology developed by KÜBLER & DFKI in the Green-AI Hub developed the EPBD methodology. Four factors - consumption basis, heating system, insulation and climate - are combined into an overall score (0 = very efficient, 100 = in need of refurbishment). combined.

Methodology at a glance
The evaluation follows the KÜBLER R&D process 1:1 (as at 31.10.2025) and weights the four factors as follows:
- Consumption basis (60 %): Weather- and system-neutralized specific energy consumption
- Heating system (15 %): Effective efficiency or annual coefficient of performance
- Energy quality of the building envelope (15 %): Year of construction / renovation period
- Climate influence (10 %): local heating degree days relative to the Potsdam reference (HGT_ref = 3,400 K-d)
Classification (EPBD-compliant)
- Class A (0-20): Very efficient
- Class B (21-50): good
- Class C (51-84): average
- Class D (85-100): in need of renovation (worst 16 % in the EPBD comparison)
