Rhineland-Palatinate Economic Council discusses the future of SMEs at KÜBLER in Ludwigshafen

Ludwigshafen - Clear messages, clear expectations: At the annual reception of the Rhineland-Palatinate Economic Council at the main site of KÜBLER GmbH, host Frederic Renz had clear words to say about the economic situation. „SMEs need what all companies in Germany urgently need: a clear direction and reliable political framework conditions. If you want economic growth, you have to create planning security,“ emphasized the Managing Director of the hall heating specialist.

Around 50 entrepreneurs, managers and representatives from politics and society accepted the invitation to Ludwigshafen. Under the motto „Growth. Competitiveness. Future - What SMEs in Rhineland-Palatinate need now“, the focus was on the central question of how the business location can be strengthened and sustainably positioned for the future.

In the discussion moderated by Frank Hüther, Deputy State Chairman of Rhineland-Palatinate, Christian Baldauf, MdL (CDU Rhineland-Palatinate), Christopher Hauß, State Chairman of the Junge Union Rheinland-Pfalz, Florian Pernak, State Chairman of the Junge Liberale Rheinland-Pfalz, Alexander Krautkrämer, Managing Partner of BERICAP GmbH & Co. KG, and Dieter Cullmann, Chief Digital Officer of Abacus alpha GmbH.

There was agreement that Rhineland-Palatinate needs more speed in approval procedures, less bureaucracy and stronger investment incentives. The tenor of the evening was that SMEs are both the backbone and the engine of innovation - but urgently need better framework conditions in order to survive in international competition.

The Economic Council sees itself as the voice of the social market economy and brings the interests of entrepreneurs into the political dialog in a targeted manner. The annual reception made it clear that the economy is ready to invest - if politicians set the right guidelines.
