Stage design KÜBLER receives the Future Prize for SMEs
Berlin, 14.03.2024 The energy-flexible new development FUTURA from hall heating specialist KÜBLER is the winner of the BVMW Future Prize 2024. Founder and Managing Director Thomas Kübler accepted the award in front of around 6,000 participants at the BVMW Future Day at Station-Berlin.
"KÜBLER develops systems that provide highly energy-efficient heating and targeted lighting for industrial and commercial halls. With FUTURA, KÜBLER GmbH has developed an innovative multi-energy IR hall heating system with integrated lighting that makes an important contribution to the decarbonization of hall heating systems, as it uses all renewable energies digitally controlled via AI," said Jeanette Peter, member of the jury and owner of JPeters Consulting, during the laudatory speech.

"Congratulations! This is a great award. And it is well deserved. We really didn't make it easy for ourselves on the jury. You have made it into the top group here. Keep up the good work! Continue to be a shining example of innovative strength in the German SME sector!" congratulated former Senator Christoph Althaus, Chairman of the Federal Management Board of Der Mittelstand BVMW e. V., on receiving the award.

"First of all, many thanks to the jury. Thanks also to our development team, which has done a sensational job here. To build a heating system that is energy-flexible and gives the investor absolute investment security and availability. Especially in commercial and industrial buildings. And this is precisely what has ended up on the fringes of energy policy. Yet these buildings are so inherently important for our value creation. We need to create an affordable energy transition, precisely for these buildings. Because that's where our main value creation takes place. We must prevent these important jobs from moving away because of all the bureaucracy and the knitting errors in the Heating Act. We can make a great contribution to this with the system we have developed. Because you can use your PV electricity for heating in the same way as hydrogen or natural gas and you can switch back and forth between the forms of energy as is affordable and permitted. I believe we are making a huge contribution to Germany as a business location and to securing our jobs," said entrepreneur Thomas Kübler at the award ceremony.

The energy openness and energy efficiency of FUTURA brings maximum operational and investment security to the hall buildings. And this at comparatively optimal economic conditions. The still uncertain and volatile availability of renewable energy sources can be compensated for at any time by feeding in biogas, (biogenic) liquid gas or methane. The innovative system thus offers a scalable and secure transformation path from today to beyond 2045. FUTURA's high level of sustainability is further enhanced by the option of integrating the hall lighting, which almost halves the cost of cabling, other infrastructure or maintenance. FUTURA is ideally suited for use in both existing buildings and new buildings.

"In 35 years, we have made a name for ourselves as the expert and innovation leader for the climate-friendly heating of hall buildings," says Thomas Kübler. "The energy transition in these important buildings can - and must - be economical in order to be successful. That's why we made FUTURA."

It is SMEs that keep the engine running in Germany. The Award Zukunftspreis Mittelstand is not only aimed at hidden champions such as KÜBLER, but also at all those companies that have managed to emerge stronger from the transformation process even in times of crisis thanks to outstanding innovations, according to the announcement of the Award Zukunftspreis Mittelstand, which is being presented for the second time this year by the BVMW, the leading association of small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany, for outstanding innovative achievements in the SME sector.
