Strong partners join forces

Ludwigshafen, March 2025: KÜBLER cooperates with Richter+Frenzel. The technology leader for climate-friendly hall heating systems and Germany's renowned specialist wholesaler for sanitary, heating and air conditioning/ventilation have agreed to work together. Together, they want to support the skilled trades in one of the biggest challenges of the energy transition: The decarbonization of large commercial, sports and industrial halls.
With immediate effect, Richter+Frenzel is offering its customers support in the environmentally friendly heating of hall buildings and, as a close partner of the specialist trade, is now taking a pioneering step by cooperating with the leading hall heating specialist KÜBLER.
"We are delighted to be the first HVAC wholesaler in Germany to offer KÜBLER products to specialist tradespeople. These are the innovative solutions that our customers have every right to expect from us," says Oliver Herrmann, Head of Category Management at Richter+Frenzel.
The background to this is that heat pumps in commercial enterprises are not compatible with the distribution networks installed there and the familiar air heating system, particularly in the context of the energy transition. This is precisely where KÜBLER's energy-flexible solutions are the decisive development for specialist tradesmen and commercial enterprises.
"With Richter+Frenzel, we have the right partner at our side. This is where real experts come together. The specialist trade will benefit enormously from this collaboration in the future," says Kim Henrich, Managing Director at KÜBLER.
The easy-to-install appliances can be operated with the relevant renewable energies - be it electricity from various sources or, alternatively, different types of gas from methane to biogas and hydrogen. This capability of the new FUTURA appliance series from KÜBLER allows tradespeople to use inexpensive PV electricity from their own hall roof for heating purposes. During periods of darkness or at night, the system supplies itself with gas or electricity from the energy supplier.
However, the particular advantage for tradespeople is the extremely high energy efficiency of the systems. For tradespeople, it is the additive solution that they need to decarbonize their customers and that pays off for all sides thanks to its high energy efficiency and simple installation.
Kim Henrich: "As a close partner of the specialist trade, we always consider the practical installation side when developing our technologies.
Due to their immense dimensions, hall buildings place completely different demands on heating technology than multi-storey buildings such as offices or residential buildings. Add to this the operator's desire for cost-effective heating and the new legal requirements for climate protection, and you have a very special know-how requirement.
Knowledge and experience that have often been lacking until now, because with around 2 percent of the total building stock in Germany, halls and their heating are not exactly part of the everyday business of most specialist companies. On the other hand, these giant buildings are highly relevant for climate protection, as their huge dimensions mean that an enormous amount of energy is consumed and CO2 released.
KÜBLER is regarded as a pioneer and innovation leader in modern infrared heating technology. Founded in 1989, the group of companies employs over 130 people and is one of the leading companies in the industry in Europe with numerous locations and foreign agencies as well as a nationwide service network. Richter+Frenzel was founded in Nuremberg in 1895 and is now one of the leading specialist wholesalers in Germany for plumbing, heating and air conditioning/ventilation. As an indispensable link in the three-stage distribution channel, R+F sells its range - branded products from well-known manufacturers and its own Optiline brand - exclusively to partners in the specialist trade. Ludwigshafen, August 2023: Konrad Stockmeier, FDP member of the Bundestag from Mannheim, is a member of the Bundestag Committee for Climate Protection and Energy and his parliamentary group's rapporteur for the Building Energy Act (GEG), the so-called "Heating Act". He was involved in the negotiations on the GEG and is therefore familiar with this law. On Friday, he visited Thomas Kübler, founder and managing partner of KÜBLER GmbH, in Ludwigshafen. With his expertise as a specialist in large-capacity heating systems, the entrepreneur has been campaigning for months for commercial and industrial hall buildings to be given greater consideration in the GEG.
