Innovative heating systems for the energy transition: KÜBLER presents three world firsts at the ISH 2023

March 13, 2023

Frankfurt, March 2023.

The German government wants 65% renewable energy from 2024. "It can have it," says Thomas Kübler, founder and Managing Director of KÜBLER GmbH from Ludwigshafen. The hall heating specialist is presenting its latest developments and world firsts at the ISH. These are three systems that enable companies to save money and play their part in the energy revolution. Kübler is particularly proud of the FUTURA. "As a multi-energy infrared heating system, the FUTURA is our solution for the energy transition and thus for the successful, economically feasible path to decarbonization," says Kübler. Although only two percent of existing buildings in Germany are halls, they account for 15 percent of greenhouse gas emissions.

Sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energies are KÜBLER's themes at ISH 2023. At first glance, this motto is no different from that of other suppliers. But KÜBLER is no stranger to leading innovation when it comes to practice-oriented efficiency technologies, which is why it has won awards. "In trade and industry, solutions are not only needed for the day after tomorrow, but also for the reality of today. This must be affordable and economical for companies," says Kübler. This refers to heating technologies that build bridges, guarantee security of supply today and at the same time pave the way to CO2 freedom. Kübler says:
"We make our industrial and commercial customers strong for the energy transition. With solutions that pay off economically."

At the world's leading trade fair for water, heat and air in Frankfurt am Main, the company known for its energy-saving technology is introducing a paradigm shift in hall heating.

Kübler says:
"Up to now, energy efficiency has been the focus of our developments. Now we are combining the highly efficient use of resources with the use of various renewable energy sources".

The hall heating specialist will be presenting three world firsts to the international trade public:

1. multi-energy infrared heating FUTURA

Even before its market launch at the ISH, the world first was recognized as "Innovative Technology for Climate Protection" at SUCCESS 2022 of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and nominated for the German Innovation Award. What sets the FUTURA multi-energy infrared heating system apart: The system can be operated with green electricity as well as green hydrogen. At the same time, the multi-valent heating system can use bio, liquid or natural gas. "We need this option as a bridge to the carbon-free era and to balance out volatile renewable energies," says Kübler. Depending on the availability or cost of renewable energies, it is possible to switch back and forth between the energy sources. Green heating is highly economical for industry, commerce and local authorities. With up to 70 percent less consumption, both sides benefit: the companies and the environment. Seven patents, including two new applications, are behind this world first from KÜBLER. A prime example of engineering development and research work "Made in Germany".
FUTURA was not only recognized for its energy openness and efficiency. For the first time, the heating and lighting functions of hall buildings are combined in a single system.
"After all, nothing is closer to the ceiling than the light",

says Kübler. Energy-saving LED modules on both end caps provide high-quality light and fatigue-free working conditions with a basic illumination of 500 lux. Versions with one or two lights per end module are available. This ensures that different room heights are ideally illuminated. Gaps in lighting - for example in unheated hall zones - can also be closed with separate lamp elements. There is also a version without luminaires, especially for energy-efficient refurbishment. However, the combination of heating and lighting offers great economic advantages, especially in new hall buildings, regardless of their use. This is because the 2-in-1 world first reduces the work and costs involved in planning and cabling, for example, by half.

2. high efficiency with electricity - MAXIMA E-Hybrid

KÜBLER is also paving the way for decarbonization with the MAXIMA high-efficiency line. In addition to excellent efficiency values, MAXIMA is now also available as a smart further development under the name MAXIMA E-Hybrid. The new E-Hybrid variant can also use electrical power from green PV or grid electricity as an energy source. It is also H2-ready, of course. The powerful high-efficiency line is known for its wide range of models and its particularly economical and environmentally friendly heating operation. It can be operated with methane, liquid gas or biogas during the transition period. This will be of interest to operators of existing systems: The E-Hybrid variant can also be retrofitted easily and cost-effectively with a smart retrofit kit.

3. heating cooling and lighting - FUTURA cool

FUTURA cool combines three functions at once. This innovation from KÜBLER provides cooling in summer and probably the most efficient heat output from green or established energy sources in winter. This is combined with modern LED lighting. This is the result of smart development work by the KÜBLER R&D team, intelligent control technology and a modern generation of heat pumps. With an impressive SEER value. So that industry and commerce can make their contribution to the energy transition - affordable, economically viable and sustainable.

Heat-as-a-Service

In addition to the world firsts, KÜBLER is also bringing its established solutions to Frankfurt. In addition to the WÄRME 4.0 digital hall heating system and the CELESTRA intelligent heating control system with energy management module, the HeizWerk heating service should be of particular interest to tradespeople and industry. KÜBLER's rental concept is designed to be extremely simple and flexible and offers a unique opportunity to benefit from the advantages of modern heating technology off-balance in the area of hall heating - without having to invest or depreciate your own equipment.
