'Heat pump only' sign in industrial hall

Who actually says that only heat pumps can be installed?

The 65% clause for the use of renewable energies has left many with the impression that only heat pumps can be considered as a heating solution. But the reality is more complex - especially when it comes to hall buildings.
To put it in a nutshell: Legislators simply did not have these buildings in mind when the Building Energy Act was pushed through.
The focus in the GEG is on so-called multi-storey buildings with clear heights of around 3 meters. And in many cases, this is where the heat pump is very well suited.

In halls 8, 10 or 30 meters high, the world looks quite different. Here, heating solutions such as decentralized infrared dark radiators are needed that are specially tailored to the particular physical conditions of the building.
Good to know: These very efficient and highly usable systems can still be used in compliance with the GEG without any problems. You just have to look a little deeper into the law. By the way: With the new generation of energy-flexible FUTURA infrared dark radiators from KÜBLER, these solutions can be operated just as efficiently with renewable energies. Up to 100 % CO₂-free.
With the right and well-informed advice, it becomes clear that the GEG offers scope in terms of technologies. Suitable, economical solutions for decarbonization that are effective and legally compliant can be used for large hall buildings in particular.
